The BPM-X Administrator performs all administrative functions for the BPM-Xchange Suite. The BPM-X Administrator allows the user to define or edit settings that are necessary for the modelling and transformation of models.

The BPM-X Administrator contains three modules:

The Method Builder defines, edits, and filters the modelling methods used by the BPM-X Designer.  The defined methods form the basis for the creation of new mappings, i.e., transformation rules between different methods and tools.

The Mapping-Editor creates the transformation rules. A mapping contains the definition of which elements of the source method should be transformed into which elements of the target model. These transformation rules are used by the BPM-X Converter during the conversion of models.

The Visio Analyzer was created to provide the capability to convert models without any existing method definitions. By using the Visio Analyzer, existing Visio diagrams can be inspected for used symbols. The Visio Analyzer generates a method definition, which is used to create a new mapping.  In this way existing Visio models, which were not developed strictly according to a certain method, can be transferred into models conforming to a specified method.
