The Method Builder is a component of BPM-X Administrator. It assists in method definitions. This is particularly important for the BPM-X Designer, but also as a basis for the establishment of transformation rules (“Mappings) for the BPM-X Converter.

In an intuitive way, the required diagram types, as well as the element types and border types used within, can be set in the Method Builder. The element types are connected with Visio symbols which are used for the graphic modeling in the BPM-X Designer. In addition, every element type can contain qualities (attributes) which are likewise defined in the Method Builder.

In addition to the production of new methods, the provided methods can also be adapted for the process modeling to the user’s own needs. An available method by way of a filter function allows the user to limit required constructs in a project.
