Mapping Rules Configuration
The mapping rules configuration defines the transformation parameters for the BPM-X Converter model conversion, based on the source and target methods. With the Mapping Editor tool, the mapping definitions can be maintained in the BPM-X Administrator.+

The Mapping Editor covers two types of transformations, one which does not change the principal geometrical structure, and another one which changes that structure.

An example of a transformation which preserves the geometrical structure is the conversion of flowchart diagrams into the Oracle® BPA methodology. An example for a transformations changing the geometrical model structure is the conversion of EPC based models into BPMN based models.
